Marketplace payments
Buyer payments and seller payouts
Klozet uses Paystack to collect buyer payments and to support approved seller withdrawals. Plum Software Hub operates the integration and Klozet's internal transaction ledger.
Buyer payment flow
- A buyer selects a seller's marketplace listing and reviews the full order amount.
- The item price and any buyer service charge are shown before the buyer confirms payment.
- Paystack securely processes the payment; Klozet does not store complete card details.
- Klozet verifies the Paystack transaction on its server and updates the order in the app.
- The buyer can check the current status from the Orders area without relying on a website redirect.
Seller balance and withdrawal flow
- Klozet records the seller's proceeds separately from Plum's marketplace revenue.
- Earnings remain linked to the order until the applicable handover and dispute rules are met.
- Eligible earnings appear in the seller's available Klozet balance.
- An approved seller can request a manual withdrawal to their verified South African bank account.
- Klozet records the request and its Paystack transfer status in the seller's payout history.
A pending balance is not marketplace profit. Klozet's financial ledger distinguishes buyer collections, amounts owed to sellers, payment processor charges, refunds and Klozet's earned service revenue.
Verification and timing
Seller withdrawals require identity and bank-account verification. Processing time may vary because of verification, fraud checks, banking hours, payment-network delays or an open order dispute. The app displays the latest payout status and does not treat a withdrawal as complete until the processor confirms it.
Refunds and disputes
Buyers and sellers should report an order problem in Klozet as soon as possible. Klozet may pause the related seller proceeds while the matter is reviewed. See the refund and dispute policy for the applicable process and exclusions.
